The ‘70s was a decade of change and opportunity as doors began to open for women in emerging science and technical fields. At the time, nursing was one of the few professions where women were welcomed and had opportunity for career advancement. My nursing career began in the emergency room but today, I am on the front lines of implementing immunotherapy, a new cancer treatment for late stage cancer that has the potential to change the way we treat the disease…”
