Lizard in the Making: Caroline Ryan Conquers First PMC Kids Ride

Posted on June 13, 2018

Caroline gears up for her first PMC Kids ride

Caroline Ryan rode in her first PMC Kids ride this past weekend in Westwood. Daughter of Sarah Shoukimas Ryan (3x PMC rider and all-star volunteer) and Mike Ryan (2x PMC rider), Caroline, now three and a half, was proud to participate in the kids version of an event she has heard her parents talk a lot about.

According to Caroline, “I had a really good time!” Sarah’s father, Greg, was one of the founding members of Team Lizard.

Mom, Sarah was with Caroline every pedal stroke of the one mile loop. Dad, Mike was out there cheering in full force, carrying their other future Lizard, Jack, in his PMC shirt. Way to go, Caroline! Thank you for your incredible support and great job!

Team Lizard Joins Boston Brain Tumor Ride in Honor of Team Co-Founder, Dave Mittelman

Posted on May 23, 2018

Team Lizard rides the 2018 PMC to raise money for cancer research and cures

Left to right: Maureen Gillis, Andy Mittelman, Captain Michele Mittelman, Melissa Mittelman, Greg Shoukimas, Bob Caspar, Susie Caspar, Kit Cunningham, Sue Fier, and Joe Fier

This past weekend, 10 Lizards journeyed out in the rain to participate in the Boston Brain Tumor Ride in honor of Team Lizard co-founder, Dave Mittelman, who passed away last year of a glioblastoma. Thank you to all of the participating Lizards for your support.

100% of the ride’s proceeds supported the National Brain Tumor Society. The National Brain Tumor Society works to advance research and public policy around brain tumors. The organization drives a thoughtful approach to aggressively influence and fund strategic research and discovery, as well as advocates for policy changes in order to achieve the greatest impact, results, and progress for brain tumor patients.

Every mile brings us closer to a cure. Until then, we will be on our bikes.
