Raising money for life-saving cancer research and treatment
Andy and Laura Mittelman spent four days training for the PMC in Italy. They balanced their hill workouts with wine, lots of pasta, and many servings of gelato. According to Andy, “The Truro hill’s of day have nothing on these Italian mountains!” Laura said she was “fueled by her desire to get to the next vineyard.”

Four and a half year old, Caroline Ryan rode in her second PMC Kids ride. Inspired by her mom, Sarah Shoukimas Ryan (soon-to-be 4x PMC rider and all-star volunteer) and Mike Ryan (2x PMC rider), Caroline, was excited to get back on the bike for her second PMC. According to Caroline, “I rode for the sick kids. I rode fast and fell but got back on my bike and finished!” This year, she brought little brother, Jack with her as they zoomed through the Westwood course. Jack said, “I ride bike!”

Seven Lizards gathered at Harpoon Brewery last night as the new Harpoon PMC Beer of the Year was unveiled. Harpoon has partnered with the Pan-Mass Challenge to release the official Harpoon PMC beer. This year’s winning beer is a Brut IPA with Blood Orange and Tangerine. For every pint of PMC beer purchased, Harpoon will donate $1 to the PMC.
“We raise our glasses to all of the riders, volunteers and PMC staff who make this incredible ride happen each year,” said Dan Kenary, Harpoon CEO, co-founder, and five-time PMC rider. “We’re proud to be in our 21st year of supporting the PMC and the great work that’s being done in our community to raise funds for cancer care and research.”
